Arjun Deshwal was born in Basera village of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh . He was very fond of cricket since childhood. He used to watch the boys of his village playing kabaddi on the village ground and was inspired by some of the boys of his village winning kabaddi prizes at that time.
He never heard of a boy from his village winning a prize in cricket, so he switched to Kabaddi and started practicing at the age of 14. As he continued to practice and became a rider, SO decided to become a rider.
Arjun started playing kabaddi in school at the age of 14 playing his first match in school. He represents his school in district level sports. Then in 2016, he played a national match for his school which was an under 16 match. later
